This is a beautiful, richly stocked shop filled with fun, elegance and  warmth.  You couldn't ask for a nicer shopping experience for your canine, kitty or self.  It's worth the trip just to meet doggy divine Chai and her wonderful dad, Tom Berger.  The yummy, up-to-date selection of apparel, gear and toys just makes it heavenly.   1017 Cathedral St, Baltimore - 443.524.7777 - directions and so much more on the site.

Puppy Mills
http://www.unitedagainstpuppymills.org
I'm leary as heck about jumping on animal bandwagons, but count me in on this one.  No ethical breeder will retail puppies.   Anybody with AKC registered dogs can register their puppies.  Puppy mills are real.  Accept it, learn about it, stop it.

House Call Vets - ethical, principled, kind and capable.
